REMNANTS at The Print Room
We are now into our second week of performing REMNANTS at The Print Room – a moving new work about family, war, and what remains by the innovative music theatre company ERRATICA.
Based on Courtney Angela Brkic‘s heartbreaking memoir The Stone Fields: Love and Death in the Balkans, REMNANTS delves through layers of sound, song and spoken testimony, to unearth family secrets and doomed romance.
Performed by solo dancer and four singers REMNANTS juxtaposes Balkan folk and Klapa (traditional a cappella singing from Croatia) with original vocal arrangements by award winning composer Christian Mason and deep bass soundscapes by DJ & installation artist Shelley Parker to weave a rich acoustic tapestry.
Driven by eclectic musical scores, ERRATICA’s varied productions explore the theatrical and narrative potential of the human voice: sung, spoken, live, recorded, distorted or disembodied.
You can see the piece until 1st July 2017. It’s been an amazing journey and the feedback has also been astonishing. Do not miss out!
